Build and Release
You can create a separate build for a project, as well as sync the builds created under its execution.
What's more, you can create a release for a project, it will be shown on the release list of the linked product.
The build needs to be created before submitting a test request. The requirements that have been finished and the bugs that have been resolved need to be linked to the build to give a test scope for the QA team.
The release can be created after the testers finish and pass the testing of the build. It could be the release of the installation package or upgrade package.
Now let's take an example of the Scrum project to introduce the feature of build and release.
1. Build
1.1 Create a Build
Click "Project" - "Build" - "Create Build".
1.2 Link the Finished Requirements and the Resolved Bug to the Build
Fill in the required information and click Save, you will see the page below. You can link the finished requirements and the resolved bugs to the build, as well as view the reported bugs and the detail of the build. At the same time, the action buttons include Effort, Edit, and Delete are available in the top right corner.
2. Release
2.1 Create a Release
Click "Release" - "Create Release". You can mark the release as a milestone per your need.
2.2 Link the Finished Requirements and the Resolved Bug to the Release
Fill in the required information and click Save, you will see the page below. You can link the finished stories/requirements, resolved bugs, and active bugs manually.
2.3 Terminated, Edit, and Delete
Click "Back" in the top left corner, you will see the release just created in the list.
The action buttons include Link Story, Link Bug, Terminated, Edit and Delete are available on the right.
