Feature Overview
- The Test Case feature is a critical component of the software/hardware development and quality assurance process. It is designed to ensure that the functionality, performance, and security of products meet expected standards.
- Through systematic test case management, teams can effectively design, execute, and track testing activities, thereby improving product quality and reducing defect rates.
- The feature supports recording detailed preconditions, test steps, expected results, and actual results, ensuring that every functional module is fully verified.
- By integrating with Bug management and Story management, Test Cases enable closed-loop management, ensuring timely feedback and resolution of all issues, thus enhancing product reliability and user satisfaction.
Use Cases
- Functional Testing: During development, after new features are completed, testers verify them using test cases to ensure they work as expected. For example, when an e-commerce platform launches a new payment method, testers design test cases to verify each step of the payment process.
- Regression Testing: After software updates or bug fixes, the test team uses test cases for regression testing to ensure that new changes have not introduced new issues. For example, after fixing a bug in the shopping cart, testers execute relevant test cases to ensure the function still works normally.
- Performance Testing: Based on performance requirements, the team designs test cases to simulate high-concurrency user access and evaluate system performance under load. For example, an online education platform conducts performance testing during peak hours to ensure it can handle a large number of simultaneous learners.
- Security Testing: The team designs security test cases to evaluate system security and identify potential vulnerabilities. For example, a financial system requires security testing to protect user data and transaction information from leaks or attacks.
Through these features and scenarios, Test Cases play a vital role in development and QA, helping teams ensure product quality, improve user experience, and reduce maintenance costs.
After joining a team, testers can navigate to Test > Case to write test cases based on stories. In Sanplex, test case types include:
- Functional Testing
- Performance Testing
- Configuration Related
- Installation/Deployment
- Security Related
- API Testing

I. Creating Test Cases
Click Create Case to create cases individually or in batches.
图2
On the Create Case page, select the corresponding product, module, case type, applicable stage, and related stories.
图3
You can also click Batch Create > Multiple Entry.
图4
II. Importing Test Cases
In Sanplex, you can also batch import test cases via files or the Case Library.
图5
To use the Import CSV function, you first need to use the Export > Export Template function. Fill the exported template with test case data, then batch import the cases into Sanplex.
图6
You can set the number of records and the format for export.
图7
After clicking Save, you will receive a file named "Template.csv".
图8
Fill in the test case titles, steps, and other information in the template.
图9
Use the Import function to upload the file.
图10
You can then view the detailed information of the automatically imported test cases.
图11
III. Exporting Test Cases
You can export selected records or all records of test cases.
图12
You can customize the fields for export and name/save the template for future use.
图13
IV. Importing into Case Library
Frequently used test cases can be imported into the Case Library, allowing users to accumulate test assets for reuse and management.
图14
V. Unit Test Cases
The use of unit test cases requires importing unit test results first to generate a test task, and then viewing the unit test cases within that test task.
In the Test > Case list, select Unit Test from the "All Types" dropdown to enter the unit test case page.
图15
On the unit test page, click the Import Unit Test Results button on the right.
图16
Jump to the import page, fill in the field information, upload the result file, and click Save.
图17
The system will then redirect to the unit test case list.
图18
An automated test task will be generated automatically in the unit test case list. This test task displays the unit test cases and execution results based on the imported data.
