Feature Overview
Test Cases are a core component of the software/hardware development and quality management lifecycle. They help ensure that a product’s functionality, performance, and security meet expected standards. With systematic test case management, teams can design, execute, and track testing activities efficiently—improving product quality and reducing defect rates.
Sanplex supports creating structured test cases with detailed preconditions, steps, expected results, and actual results. By integrating Requirement and Defect (Bug) management, test cases enable closed-loop quality control, ensuring issues are fed back and handled promptly, thereby improving reliability and user satisfaction.
Typical Use Scenarios
- Functional Testing: After new features are implemented, testers validate behavior using test cases to ensure the feature works as expected. Example: A new payment method is added to an e-commerce platform; test cases verify each step of the payment flow.
- Regression Testing: After a release update or defect fix, the team executes regression test cases to ensure changes did not introduce new issues. Example: After fixing a shopping cart bug, testers rerun relevant cases to confirm the cart still works properly.
- Performance Testing: Testers design performance test cases to simulate high concurrency and evaluate system behavior under load. Example: An online education platform performs load testing during peak class times to confirm it can handle many concurrent learners.
- Security Testing: Testers design security test cases to identify vulnerabilities and evaluate security controls. Example: A financial system runs security testing to protect user data and transaction information from leaks and attacks.
After joining the team, testers can create test cases under Test > Cases based on development requirements.
In Sanplex, test case types include:
- Functional Testing
- Performance Testing
- Configuration
- Installation & Deployment
- Security
- API Testing

1. Create Test Cases
Click Create Case to create test cases individually or in batch.
图2
On the Create Case page, select the relevant Product, Requirement Module, Case Type, Applicable Stage, and Related Requirement, as needed.
图3
You can also click Batch Create > Multi-item Entry to enter multiple cases efficiently.
图4
2. Import Test Cases
Sanplex also supports batch importing test cases via file import or by importing from a Case Library.
图5
To use Import CSV, first generate an import template via Export > Export Template. Populate the template with case data, then import the file back into Sanplex.
图6
You can configure the number of records to export and the export format.
图7
After clicking Save, a file named Template.csv will be generated.
图8
Fill in the test case data in the template (such as title and steps).
图9
Then use Import to upload the completed template.
图10
Sanplex will display the imported test case details for review.

3. Export Test Cases
You can export selected records or all records.
图12
You can also customize export templates by selecting fields, naming the template, and saving it for future reuse.

4. Import into the Case Library
Frequently used test cases can be imported into the Case Library to help teams accumulate reusable test assets for ongoing reuse and management.
