Summary : Waterfall Model configuration in Sanplex lets admins customize stage lists, design types, processes, Test check items, reviews, checklist categories, and audit checklists to standardize waterfall governance.

In Admin > Model Configuration > Waterfall Model, you can customize stage lists, design types, Test check items (formerly QA), processes, reviews, checklist categories, and audits for Waterfall projects.

1. Stage List

Sanplex provides a default stage list for Waterfall projects. You can customize it based on your needs.

2. Design

You can customize design types used in Waterfall projects.

3. Process

Process Categories group project management processes into major categories. Sanplex provides built-in categories aligned with common maturity frameworks, including Support Processes, Engineering Support, and Project Management.

Process List: Processes can be further subdivided based on your project management needs. Sanplex provides a set of commonly used processes, and you can also customize them as needed.

Activity List: Activities are executable actions decomposed from processes. For example, in a project initiation process, activities may include initiation research, feasibility analysis, project budgeting, and initiation decision-making.

Sanplex provides a rich set of built-in activity items based on common practices, and you can also customize them as needed.

Document List: Documents are deliverables decomposed from activities. For example, after performing a feasibility analysis activity during project initiation, you may output a “Technical Feasibility Analysis Report”.

4. Test Check Items

You can create Test check items based on the configured processes, activities, and documents. This enables project checks to follow standardized criteria when evaluating execution items and deliverables.

5. Reviews

In the Waterfall configuration list, you can configure checklist items for review objects.

Click Create or Batch Create to open the add page. You can define multiple checklist items by category for different review objects, so reviewers can verify compliance item by item during reviews.

Sanplex can automatically generate version numbers based on the review object. You can configure version number generation rules as follows.

6. Checklist Categories

You can configure checklist categories for review objects.

7. Audits

Audits are performed based on objects that have passed reviews. In Admin, you can configure baseline audit, functional audit, and physical audit checklists.

Click Batch Create to open the batch audit checklist creation page, where you can configure audit checklists as needed.
