Summary : This section explains the two primary methods for submitting Bugs in Sanplex, as well as how to batch-process entries, export defect data using customizable templates, and generate visual reports for Bug analysis.

Another primary task for testers is to submit the defects discovered during testing to developers for resolution. In Sanplex, there are two locations where you can submit Bugs:

  • Execution > Test > Bug
  • Test > Bug

1. Submitting a Bug

Taking the Test module in Sanplex as an example: Under the Test module, click Create Bug to submit Bugs individually or in batches.

Batch Create Bug allows for batch entry through the Multiple Entry function.

Each row serves as the title of a Bug. After importing, other mandatory fields must be configured manually.

II. Exporting Bugs

You can export the data within the Bug list using the Export function. Click Export > Export Data.

You can export all Bug records or select specific Bugs from the Bug list to export. Click Settings to configure an export template; select the fields you wish to export and save them as a template for quick use during future exports.

III. Viewing Reports

Click Bug > Report to perform statistical analysis and view Bug data.

On the left side of the report page, select a report type and click Generate Report to view the Bug report analysis. By default, data is displayed in a pie chart, but you can also choose to display it as a bar chart or line chart based on the report content.
