Summary : This section explains how to create quality assurance plans, run inspections, track nonconformities, and manage QA checklists to support continuous quality improvement.

Feature Overview

  • Quality Assurance (QA) is the set of practices used to make sure quality management activities are carried out effectively and consistently.
  • Quality Assurance focuses on measuring quality, performing checks, and improving processes so teams can continuously improve software quality and support reliable delivery.
  • At the project level, Quality Assurance helps teams ensure that quality activities are planned, executed, and followed through. By using quality assurance plans, inspections, and nonconformity tracking, teams can maintain delivery quality and continuously improve project execution.
  • In Sanplex Premium, a dedicated Quality Assurance module is available under Project. It supports creating quality assurance plans, defining checklists, and tracking nonconformities.

Use Cases

  • Create quality assurance plans: At project kickoff, project managers or quality leads can create quality assurance plans, select the related process, inspection target, and supporting docs, and make sure quality work follows a defined structure.
  • Run quality checks: Teams can perform checks against the quality assurance plan to verify that outputs across different stages, including docs, code, and testing, meet quality expectations.
  • Track nonconformities: If a nonconformity is found during an inspection, it can be logged and tracked until it is resolved.
  • Set up QA checklists: QA checklist items can be configured in the project workflow settings so teams use consistent inspection criteria.
  • Support a closed-loop quality process: Plans, inspections, and nonconformity follow-up together create a complete quality workflow and support continuous improvement.

I. Create a Quality Assurance Plan

Built-in inspection target categories are shown on the left side of the Quality Assurance Plans list page.

Click Create Plan, then select the Related Process, Inspection Target, and any related docs.

The related docs need to be configured first in Admin > Project Workflow > Quality Assurance.

Click Save to return automatically to the list page, where you can see the newly created quality assurance plan.

In the action area, click Inspect.

II. Run Quality Checks Based on the Plan

You can run quality checks based on the checklist items configured in Admin > Project Workflow > Quality Assurance.

III. Deliverable Checks

On the Deliverable Checks list page, you can view the submission status of deliverables for each process and activity, which helps with deliverable QA inspections.

When a project is being closed, the system automatically checks whether all required deliverables have been submitted.

If a required deliverable is missing, the system automatically creates a nonconformity entry. For example: “Configuration Management Plan was not submitted when closing the Planning phase.”

IV. Nonconformities

If a nonconformity is found during an inspection, you can view it under Project > Quality Assurance > Nonconformities.

Click Resolve in the action area to open the resolution page, choose a Resolution, enter the Completion Notes, and click Save.
