Feature Overview
The Project Issues feature helps teams identify, log, assign, track, and resolve issues that have already occurred, enabling efficient issue management and closed-loop follow-up so the project can continue moving forward smoothly.
By analyzing and reviewing issues over time, teams can capture lessons learned, improve future risk prevention and issue handling, and ultimately improve delivery quality and execution efficiency.
Use Cases
- Issue logging and assignment: During project execution, teams can log issues as they arise and assign owners so they can be addressed in time.
- Issue prioritization: Teams can set priorities based on urgency and importance, focusing resources on the most critical issues first to avoid impact on project goals.
- Cross-team collaboration: In multi-team projects, teams can track issue status in real time so everyone involved stays aligned on progress and next steps.
- Closed-loop issue management: By tracking and updating issue status, teams can manage the full lifecycle from identification to resolution and prevent issues from being ignored or repeated.
- Project review and improvement: At the end of the project, teams can review and summarize issue patterns, then add representative issues to the Issue Library for future reference and reuse.
In Sanplex Premium, a dedicated Issues module is available at the project level to help teams manage project issues more effectively.
An issue refers to a project problem that has already occurred and does not fall under risk or bug management.
Common issue categories include design issues, code defects, performance issues, version control issues, new requirements, requirement changes, requirement removals, and data issues.
Project managers should continuously identify and track issues throughout the project lifecycle so they can be resolved and closed in time without affecting project progress.
