Overview
The Program Management feature is a core tool for aligning projects with organizational strategy. It supports unified planning, hierarchical management, and resource coordination across multiple Projects, Products, and sub-programs. With a clear tree structure, permission control, visual Kanban views, and resource management capabilities, it helps teams collaborate more effectively across roles, business units, and product lines.
This feature helps organizations build a strategy-driven project management structure, reduce fragmented management, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen the link between strategy and execution. It is a key enabler for creating a closed loop from strategy to resources, execution, and results.
Use Cases
- Support accurate execution of strategic goals: When an organization defines annual strategy or major initiatives, it often needs to break them down into multiple parallel Projects. A Program serves as a strategic container for managing related Projects and Products in one place, helping ensure that strategic goals are implemented consistently and reducing the risk of misalignment or wasted resources.
- Unified management across multiple product lines and Projects: In product-driven or project-driven organizations, different product lines, technical modules, or business teams often work independently, which can lead to information silos and resource conflicts. By supporting unified management through both Product and Project views, Programs make hierarchy and resource relationships easier to understand, helping managers coordinate work across teams and improve overall collaboration.
- Structured management of complex Projects: For complex initiatives or cross-functional Projects, Programs support multi-level breakdown through sub-programs. This makes it easier to advance phase goals, team collaboration, and deliverables in a structured way. With more detailed planning and project tracking, Programs improve delivery rhythm and control, helping complex work move forward more effectively.
- Role-based access control and visual collaboration: In matrix organizations or multi-team collaboration scenarios, different roles need access to different levels of data and operations. Programs support flexible hierarchical permission settings and visual collaboration through Kanban, allowing each role to focus on the information that matters most while maintaining clear access boundaries and data security.
