Another important responsibility of a product manager is planning. A clear plan helps teams define priorities, sequence work properly, and move the Product in the right direction.
For product managers, Plans are essential for several reasons:
- For product managers themselves, release Plans help them plan the Product, define the release cadence, and adjust requirement priorities.
- For colleagues in other departments and external customers, release Plans provide visibility into product progress so they can make corresponding arrangements.
- When linking Requirements in Projects, Plans also help organize and relate those Requirements.
To learn how product managers manage Plans in Sanplex, you can watch the video below:
(视频介绍)
1. Manage Plans
On the Product’s Plan List page, you can create Plans. Clicking a Plan name opens its details page.

On the Create Plan page, the system displays the name of the most recently created Plan as a reference.
图2
From the action buttons in the list, you can create a sprint, link Development Requirements, link Bugs, edit a Plan, create a sub-plan, or delete a Plan.

2. Plan status management
You can filter Plans by status using the following tabs: All, Unfinished, Not Started, In Progress, Completed, and Closed. By default, the Plan List opens with In Progress selected.
- In the Plan List, Completed and Closed Plans cannot be used to create Executions.
- When linking a Product Plan to a Project or Execution, only Plans that have not expired can be selected.

You can also change Plan status using the action buttons in the action column on the right side of the Plan List.
- Permission settings: Configure Plan operation permissions under Admin > Users > Permission Groups.
- The status of a parent Plan is calculated based on the statuses of its sub-plans, so parent Plans do not have status action buttons in the action column.
- A non-parent Plan can change status through Start, Complete, and Close.
- A Closed Plan can be reactivated from the Plan details page.

Plans also support batch edit, where Plan status can be updated.

3. Plan Kanban view
You can switch from List View to Kanban View using the toggle button in the upper-right corner of the Plan List page. The default view is List View.
图9
In Kanban View, each Plan status is displayed as a separate column.
图10
More actions are available from the More menu for each Plan. These actions are the same as those available in the action column on the right side of the List View.
图11
You can also drag and drop Plans to change their status.
图12
After confirmation, the Plan is moved to the In Progress column.
图13
In Plan Kanban View, Plans are sorted by Start Date descending by default. You can also switch to Start Date ascending, Plan Name descending, or Plan Name ascending.
