Executing Test Cases

The primary tasks of a tester consist of writing test cases and conducting testing work. You can perform testing activities by navigating to Test > Case and using the actions in the operation bar.

I. Executing a Test Case
Click the Execute button for a test case. Fill in the test results, which include four types: Pass, Fail, Blocked, and Ignore. The default result is Pass.

Enter the execution page where you can select the test result.

If all steps are marked as Pass, click Save. Sanplex will automatically open the next test case for execution.
II. Converting a Test Case to a Bug
If the result is anything other than "Pass," you can fill in the relevant information in the Actual Result field and click the Files button to upload images for clarification.

After clicking Save, the page will display information related to the identified problem.

Click To Bug to redirect to the Create Bug page under Test > Bug.

Fill in the relevant information and click Save. You can view the Source Case information under the Other Info section of that specific Bug.

You can also click the To Bug button directly from the test case list.

III. Viewing Execution Results
In the test case list, click Results to view the execution status of the test case.

Note:
- B (Bug): Represents the number of defects generated by this test case.
- R (Run): Represents the number of times this test case has been executed.
- S (Step): Represents the number of execution steps in this test case.
