Summary : Sanplex supports shared data sources for dropdown and selection controls, enabling consistent values across teams and simplifying workflow configuration and maintenance.

Sanplex Workflow supports Data Sources, which provide selectable values for fields using controls such as Single-select Dropdown, Multi-select Dropdown, Radio, and Checkbox.

Shared data sources enable different departments or teams to reuse the same data, reducing data silos. With a unified data source, Sanplex ensures that all users retrieve consistent values.

I. View Data Sources

In Workflow, click Data Sources to open the data source list.

Sanplex provides several built-in data sources for direct use, including system language items, system functions, and custom SQL examples.

Built-in data sources cannot be edited or deleted.

II. Manage Data Sources

Click Add Data Source to create a new data source.

Supported categories include: Custom Options, Custom SQL, Custom Categories, System Functions, and System Languages.

  • Custom Options: Define data in custom key-value pairs.

  • Custom SQL: Write an SQL query to retrieve key-value pair data from the database.

  • Custom Categories: Organize data sources in a tree structure, supporting unlimited category levels.

  • System Functions: Call predefined system methods.

  • System Languages: Select built-in system language items.

Click Edit to modify a data source. After saving, all workflows that reference this data source will be updated accordingly.

Click Delete to remove a data source.
