In the Visualization Dashboard Designer, you can add Global Filters to control filtering across different blocks of a visualization dashboard. Below is how to configure Global Filters.
After the visualization dashboard is designed, you can add Global Filters to drive the filters used in Measures, charts, and pivot tables, enabling linked filtering across the entire dashboard.
Step 1: Add Global Filters
In the left component panel, select the Global Filters group to view all available Global Filters. Choose the filters you need and place them onto the visualization dashboard.

Step 2: Link Filters
There are two ways to create links:
- Batch linking, or
- Linking a specific Measure, chart, or pivot table to a Global Filter individually.

Step 3: Link Global Filters to Filters in Measures, Charts, and Pivot Tables
Using batch linking as an example, open the linking dialog. Click the filters (highlighted in the green box) within the chart, pivot table, and Measure sections to configure the mapping field used to link them to the Global Filter.

For the link to take effect, the field used by the filter in the chart/pivot table/Measure must match the field selected in the Global Filter.
For example, if a chart’s Product filter uses the ID field, then when linking to the Global Filter Product, you must also select Product ID.
Click outside the dialog to auto-save the configuration.
After linking the Global Filters to the filters of all charts, pivot tables, and Measures, the Global Filter setup is complete. You can verify the effect by previewing the visualization dashboard.
