Summary : Sanplex browser notifications alert users in real time and link directly to object details. Administrators can configure triggers, polling intervals, and Message Center retention.

Sanplex provides browser notifications, allowing you to enable/disable notifications and configure the polling interval.

Note: Even when browser notifications are enabled in Sanplex, users must still allow notification permissions in their browser.

When enabled, notifications appear in the bottom-right corner of the Sanplex interface. Clicking the notification title takes you directly to the related details page (for example, a Requirement, Task, or Bug).

Below is an overview of how to use browser notifications.

I. Default Settings for Browser Notifications

Configure browser notifications under Admin > Notification Settings > System Notifications.

If you cannot see the browser notification settings, ask an administrator to grant the required permission.

By default, browser notifications are enabled, with a 300-second polling interval.

After browser notifications are disabled, you will no longer receive browser push notifications from Sanplex.

Once browser notifications are enabled, go to the Settings page to choose which actions will trigger system notifications.

II. Browser Notification Polling Interval

You can set the polling interval in seconds based on your operational needs. A shorter interval delivers notifications faster.

However, setting the interval too low is not recommended. Choosing an appropriate interval helps reduce server load.

Using the default 300 seconds as an example, Sanplex aggregates events within that interval and sends notifications in batches, similar to asynchronous email sending.

When a notification is received, a prompt appears in the bottom-right corner of the page:

III. Message Center

Sanplex also provides a Message Center (top-right of the secondary navigation), where you can view all system notifications.

1. Message List

The Message Center includes Unread and All views.

In the Unread list, click the system notification area to mark messages as read.

Click a message title to open the corresponding object details page.

Right-click within the message area to delete a message or change its status from read to unread.
