I have the same problem. Updated to version 16.5, worked for several days, and now suddenly an error appeared:

Login failed. Please check your account and password.

I tried to change the password in the database to e10adc3949ba59abbe56e057f20f883e, but it doesn't accept 123456 either.

$config->framework->filterCSRF = false;
in my.php doesn't help.

How to solve this issue?
